CAR SPECIFICATIONS

1. Cars must be registered 30 minutes prior to race. If not will start
in rear of heat.
2. Air only in tires. No liquids of any kind.
3. All tires have to be approved by officials.  
4. If there are any drivers who suspect other cars are using
anything other that air they can protest.
5. Any numbers ground off or altered of internal or external engine
parts will result in suspension.
6. Protests will be allowed by any driver no matter where you
place, you must fill out protest sheet. If wanted protest will be kept
confidential.
7. Before you can race, all drivers must fill out claim sheet. If the
officials find anything other than what you have on the claim sheet
you will:(1) Be suspended for two races:(2) Number of car and
drivers name will be posted in pits and gates:(3) You will loose
points for the year:(4) At any time during the race season you are
caught cheating you will be suspended for one calendar year.
8. Officials at any time can quick check any car before or after any
race.
9. Must have 3 cars to make a race.
10. Single Exhaust on classes.
11. All classes, after 1 feature win, you will start at the rear of your
next race. Winner's of stock class will start in rear of "A" main
feature.
12. 4 cylinder turbo cars and quad 4's will be in super stock class.
No aftermarket computer chips will be allowed. Turbo and Quad
4's will be required to be strictly stock and will be subject to tech
as stock 4's.  
13. No rear view mirrors.
14. There will be a starting at flag stand. On starts - no passing
until vehicle is beyond the starting point.  
15. Any class vehicle's motor's can be bought by the Smithton
Hole for $500.00 at anytime. If there is any protest to purchase -
you will be suspended for one year.
16. In Superstock class, air cleaner can stick out of hood 2 inches
with exception to quad 4's and turbo's.
17. Everyone must sign release form in order to be on property
without trespassing!!

4 CYL AND 6 CYL RULES

1. Only stock 4 cylinder automobiles permitted. Stock Carburetors
must fit factory intake manifolds without adapter plates. Engines
must be strictly stock and must be factory manufactured with cast
iron manifolds. No reboring ports in carburetors or intake
manifolds. No high rise intake manifolds. No duel feed double
pump carburetors permitted. No after marked carburetors such as
"Holleys" permitted. Engines must be strictly stock. Engine must
have stock compression ratio.
2. Entire car must be factory built stock. No extra changes may be
made to the engine, transmission, frame, or radiators.
3. No cars or motors 1994 and above are permitted.  
4. The following must be removed : HEADLIGHTS, TAILLIGHTS,
ALL CHROME, DOOR HANDLES, SIDE MIRRORS, REAR VIEW
MIRRORS, SUN VISORS, WIPERS, WIPERS ON DRIVERS SIDE
OPTIONAL, ANTENNAS, ALL SEATS-EXCEPT DRIVERS SEAT, AND
ANY LOOSE ITEMS.
5. All doors must be welded--with drivers door reinforced. No
sunroofs.
6. No roof, hood, or trunk ornaments. Stock bumper--4" hoop. No
higher than hood.
7. 5 point harness mandatory. Must be certified. ***FIRE SUITS
MANDATORY AND FIRE EXTINGUISHERS IN CAR.
8. All cars must have a roll cage. Roll bar must be higher than
driver's head. It must be made out of no less than 1 3/4" pipe, 1/8"
wall (no angle iron). It can be bolted or welded to the frame of
floor. The part of the roll bar nearest the driver's head must be
padded. All joints must be welded solidly. Min. 4 point roll cage at
owner's discretion.
9. Street tires only. They may be up to 8" wide--not to stick out
past fender walls. No studs. No grinding or grooving tires
permitted. Tires can be screwed of bolted to wheels.
10. No personal vehicles will be permitted in the pits. Only one
tow vehicle per race car will be allowed. All vehicles in the pits
will be parked at owner's risk. No vehicle larger than a one ton
truck. All tools must be in tow vehicle.
11. Batteries installed inside car must be in marine type boat box.
One battery per car. A "kill switch" must be mounted on
passenger side dash, marked and accessible to track officials.
12. All 4 wheel brakes must be in working order before going
through gate onto track. Must be able or stop all wheels.
13. All cars must have starters and clutches in working order to be
able to start under their own power on track and at gate.
14. All glass with exception of the windshield must be removed. If
windshield is removed it must be covered with heavy duty screen
and goggles must be worn.
15. All interior with the exception of the driver's seat must be
removed.
16. Cars must have complete floors either covered with sheet
metal or have original floor boards in good condition.
17. 3-18" numbers must be on car, so they can be see when car is
moving left or right. One number on roof and one on each door.
Numbers must be easy to read. Dark car - light numbers, Light car
- dark numbers.
18. There will be no renumbering of cars with cardboard pieces or
other means during a race event. No swapping number on cars
permitted.
19. Anyone coming to the track with 3 digit numbers or tow digits
and a letter will be issued a new number. Numbers must be 0 - 99.
Track will be issued numbers. There will be no numbers alike.
Numbers will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. No
changing of numbers during the season is allowed.
20. A dry chemical fire extinguisher of at least 2 1/2 lb. Capacity
must be mounted on all cars entering the pits so it is accessible
through the right hand door. Fire suit MANDATORY!!. A driver's
side NET is MANDATORY!!
21. Cam shift must have stock lift and duration.
22. All cars must be checked by the rules committee.
23.Mufflers must be removed. Engine must be equipped with
exhaust manifold with pipe extending to the outside and behind
the front tire of car. No after market headers may be used.
24. Cars must have hoods while racing on track. Hood hinges must
remain on car. Hood pins on front are permitted.
25. It is the decision of the speedway and it's officials that the
rules and specifications contained in the speedway rules will not
be subject to protest, appeal or change.
26. All wheel lugs must be on all four wheels.
27. Gas tanks may remain in stock position. It gas tank remains in
stock position, two extra straps must be added to secure the tank.
A skid plate is also required. The skid plate must be at least 16
gauge metal. No stock fuel tank will be mounted in the trunk. No
pressure fuel tanks will be allowed. Fuel cells are highly
recommended.
28. Pump gas only will be allowed. No nitrous oxide allowed.
29. Anything for safety is allowed such as : Reinforced wheels and
rims. Reinforced tie rods, and wheel wells opened for tire
clearance.
30. No sharp edges anywhere. All four shocks must be in original
position. All cars must have factory suspension and frame. ( 4 inch
channel)
31. Nothing more than 105 inch wheel base will be accepted.

At anytime we can check the cubic inch of engine with a pump
gauge. Also, we can check carburations and intake manifold bore.
If at anytime the drivers are not satisfied with our inspection, that
driver may put up a $300.00 fee.

If the engine is legal, you loose your tear down fee and the car
driver gets the fee. Plus, you must pay mechanic's labor. If the
engine is illegal, you get your tear down fee back and the driver is
suspended for one calendar year and will pay the cost of the
mechanic before the driver is permitted to race again. The engine
tear down will take place at the promoters discretion.

Track Rules

1. Any pit crew member, car owner, spectator, or driver entering
or distracting any official during the event will automatically be
suspended. The length of suspension will be determined by
officials.  
2. Failure to observe flags or flagmen will end up in
disqualification. There is no excuse for not seeing flags or flagmen.
3. All cars and crew must be presentable to the public at all times.
Your appearance and conduct go a long way toward gaining
popularity with the fans.
4. Officials are permitted to allow minor deviations from rules
where safety is not a factor.
5. Disqualifications apply to driver, car, and pit crew. If car is sold,
it cannot participate until the suspension is over.
6. All drivers must be 16 or older. 16-18 year old's must have
photo I.D. and parental consent.
7. Alcoholic beverages and drugs are strictly prohibited. Any
person appearing or acting in an noticed manner during or before
the races, will not be permitted in pits or on the track.
Disqualification in this case will be for one full year. Any track
official has the right to check any vehicle entering the pits.
8. Only people properly signed in at the pit area will be permitted
in the pit area until the final flag is dropped on the last race of the
day.
9. All persons in pit area will have to sign a release form with
purchase of pit pass.
10. Any driver entering track without official's permission will be
disqualified. Vehicles must enter at designated area.
11. All injuries must be reported to an official immediately.
12. Physical disturbances or unsportsmanlike conduct will be
punished.  Penalty will be up to the officials.  Drivers are
responsible for their pit crew.
13.Striking or attempting to strike, or molesting in any manner an
official will be punishable by suspension plus disqualification and
$100.00 fine and possibly prosecuted by law.
14. Fighting, slapping, or attempting to start a fight with another
driver, an owner, pit crew, or mechanic will be punishable by : 1st
time = Disqualification plus a $100.00 fine. The fine must be paid
before you will be admitted to the pit area. 2nd time=
Disqualification for one year.
15. Punishment will be levied in case of rough or inconsiderate
driving on or off the track for violation of flags or rules cutting
across the infield, for general use of foul or abusive language or
any unsportsmanlike conduct.
16. Parking tow truck or any vehicle on the track to prevent racing
will result in a one year suspension.
17. When the race is stopped for any reason the cars will line up
according to the last lap completed.
18. All races must be run until the leader covers the authorized
distance unless it is unsafe to continue. The car must be on the
track when the checkered flag is dropped to earn a place.
19. When yellow flag comes out after white flag, one attempt will
be made for green, white, checkered.
20. Line up for races will be regulated by the pit steward.
21. A race may be stopped at the discretion of the starter or official
at anytime they consider it dangerous or unsafe to continue.
22. Should the race be stopped by a red flag, only track officials
and safety crews and drivers will be permitted on track. - NO PIT
CREW
23. Helmets and eye protection are required at all times while on
the track.
24. Positively no refueling or repairing of the cars on the track -
this includes water. Driver will be disqualified if pit crew comes on
track.
25. Upon commencement of the first event the flagmen have
complete authority of the race track area.
26. Any mechanical defects endangering other drivers could be
cause for the starter to use the black flag. Once a car receives a
black flag, it must remain in the pits for the event.
27. When the starter gives a car the black flag, it must pull into the
pits for consultation.  Any driver refusing to do so could be
suspended.
28. The pit steward has complete control and authority of the pit
area at all times.
29. Any driver who does not obey the flag rules will be subject to
action by the track official.
30. All stock cars and tow vehicles must be parked in a designated
area determined by the officials.
31. All drivers have 5 minutes after being called to line up in
positions in heats.  If not there, you will go to the back of the pack.
32. Any car advancing a position on the yellow flag before the
green flag is dropped goes to the back of the pack without protest.
 This decision is strictly up to the starter flagmen.
33. Positively no pitting at all.
34. Speed limit in pit is 2mph.  This will be enforced.
35. No repairs can be made on or near pit road.
36. Any driver pouring or draining oil or gas on the ground will be
fined $500.00 and permanently suspended.  No exceptions.
37. The following flags will be used at the speedway
* GREEN FLAG - Start of race. Track is clear. Continue racing
* YELLOW FLAG - Caution. Slow down.  Remain in position. Stop
at start finish line.
* RED FLAG - Stop car immediately
* BLACK FLAG - Rules infraction, or mechanical defect - go to pit.
* WHITE FLAG - One lap to go.
* GREEN AND WHITE CROSSED - One half of race complete.
* CHECKERED FLAG - Winner!! Race Complete
